CEO, Charles Diggs, promotes offshore demil concepts at conference

On November 17th, CEO Charles Diggs participated in a panel at the online conference Maritime Security and the Blue Economy- The unexploded munitions and chemical residues in the sea – in the search for lasting and economically viable solutions, hosted by Anna Fotyga of the European Parliament and ECR Group. The goal of the conference was to lead a discussion on the challenges and possible solutions to the pressing problems of the dumped munitions and unexploded ordnance lying in the oceans and seas.

MEP Anny Fotyga invited Mr.Diggs to take part as a distinguished speaker for the third panel of the conference: Research and innovative technologies as economically viable solutions. Mr. Diggs presented an offshore demilitarisation concept suitable for projects involving underwater UXO clearance in the Baltic Sea. Dynasafe has been working with partners Remontowa Marine Design & Consulting Sp. z o. o. and Ibcol Sp. z o. o. on this concept for almost two years. Attendees of the conference included Members of the European Parliament, representatives of EU institutions, the military, and academics.

Due to the unpredictability of the pandemic situation, the event was held in a hybrid format with panelists in physical attendance but audience members tuned in virtually. The event was broadcast live on ECR Group’s social media accounts. If you missed it, you can watch all three panels on YouTube.
