Charles Diggs

CEO Dynasafe

Charles “Charlie” Diggs is the Chief Executive Officer of Dynasafe. In this role, Mr. Diggs is responsible for the strategic direction and overall day-to-day management of the company.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Diggs served as Managing Director for the Americas for Dynasafe. His role encompassed all aspects of the company’s operations, including sales and business development for North and South America as well as developing key strategic relationships with private and governmental entities in the US market.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. Diggs worked for the Anniston Chemical Weapons Disposal Facility as the Static Detonation Chamber Plant Manager. He also held the roles of a Control Room Operator, Production Control Engineer, and Scheduler. Earlier, he served as a Nuclear-Trained Mechanical Technician and Quality Assurance Supervisor for the US Navy.

A graduate of the United States Navy Nuclear Engineering School, Mr. Diggs also has an Associate of Science (Engineering) Degree from Central Alabama Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Jacksonville State University.

Blair “Burt” Kearney

Executive Director Operations / MD Dynasafe Europe

Burt Kearney is the Executive Director of Operations as his primary job with secondary positions as Managing Director of Dyanasafe in the EU. Mr. Kearney is responsible for the overall management of the Dynasafe global operations. He is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the Germanand Sweden offices as a normal MD role.

Prior to this current role, Mr. Kearney served as the Technical and Operations Director for Dynasafe BACTEC Limited, managing on land and offshore EOD Clearance Operations. Prior to joining Dynasafe, he worked within the Australian Federal Police Forensic Science and Technical Intelligence Section. Mr. Kearney also served 15 years within the New Zealand Military starting as an Armament Technician and finishing as an Inspector of Explosives and EOD/IEDD Team Leader.

A graduate of the Royal New Zealand Technical Training School, Mr. Kearney obtained international qualifications including Inspector of Explosives (Australia), Advanced EOD (UK), Crime Scene Investigation, and Post Blast Forensic Investigation (AFP).  He also has a Bachelor of Applied Management from Otago New Zealand.

Risto Viinikka

Engineering Manager

Risto Viinikka is the Engineering Manager of Dynasafe in Sweden. In this role, Mr. Viinikka is responsible for assessing needs and providing tools for the Engineering department while directing projects and developing competencies across Dynasafe’s engineering team.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Viinikka served as a Technical Manager, Project Manager, and Site Manager for Dynasafe. Earlier, he worked as a Mechanical Plant Design Engineer. He has many years of experience in manufacturing, holding roles in stainless steel production, and working on many chemical plant projects around the world.

David Street

MD Dynasafe US LLC / Project Director

David Street is primarily the Managing Director of Dynasafe in the United States with a secondary position as Project Director. Mr. Street is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the US office in Talladega, AL. In his role as Project Director, he manages all activities and maintains the demilitarization project for the destruction of mustard gas munitions at the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant in Pueblo, Colorado.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. Street has worked in both manufacturing and medical industries. He has held the roles of Facilities Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Safety Director in the past. His versatility as a leader has allowed him to guide teams successfully for over 25 years.

Harley Heaton

R&D Officer

Harley Heaton is the Research and Development Officer for Dynasafe. In this role, Mr. Heaton is responsible for research, planning, and implementing new programs and overseeing the development of new products.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. Heaton was a Senior Research Scientist with Atlantic Research Corporation developing rocket propellants and R&D Manager with UXB International.  Mr. Heaton has over 20 years of experience in the demilitarization industry. He holds six US patents in the chemical field.

Mr. Heaton is a graduate of the University of Maryland and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.

Nick Puorto

Sales and Marketing Manager

Nicola “Nick” Puorto is the Sales and Marketing Manager of Dynasafe. In this role, Mr. Puorto oversees Dynasafe’s global sales and marketing programs. Prior to his current role, Mr. Puorto served as Area Sales Manager for the Americas for Dynasafe. His role encompassed overall sales performance for the Americas.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. Puorto held senior Sales and Marketing Management positions with Mistral Security, Ingersoll Rand, and Honeywell. Mr. Puorto has 20 years of experience in marketing and sales management.

Mr. Puorto holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in education from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Gene Wells

Training Manager / Technical Advisor / Project Director

Gene Wells is primarily the Training Manager for Dynasafe with secondary roles as Technical Advisor and Project Director. In this role, Mr. Wells is responsible for developing and facilitating training programs to enhance the effectiveness of employees. In his role as Project Director, he is responsible for providing SDC technology to enable nerve agent processing at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent Pilot Plant in Kentucky.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. Wells held the role of Area Supervisor at the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility Main Plant. Earlier, Mr. Wells worked as a certified FAA repairman, a certified Boiler Inspector, and owner/operator of his consulting firm.

Mr. Wells is a 20-year veteran of the US Navy, where he served as a Nuclear Power Plant Supervisor on three different submarines and a Reactor Operator on four submarines. He also served two tours as an Instructor at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. A graduate of Thomas Edison State University, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology.

Ryan King

Lead Quality Engineer / Quality Management Representative

Ryan King is the Lead Quality Engineer for Dynasafe. In this role, Ryan establishes efficient quality processes and supports the organization in the quality improvement of products and processes to increase customer satisfaction. Mr. King also serves as Dynasafe’s Quality Management Representative for the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certificate.

Prior to joining Dynasafe, Mr. King worked in the aerospace and missile defense industry, leading quality management activities at a manufacturing supplier for SpaceX, a contractor’s office for joint US DoD and NASA projects, and a Boeing multi-site certified facility.

Mr. King’s education includes Industrial & Systems Engineering and AS9100/ISO9001 Internal Auditor certified training.
