Mobile SDC

For smaller ammunition disposal operations, Dynasafe has developed a series of small SDC systems. The SDC 200 & SDC 500 are simple solutions for field destruction of smaller calibers or pre-confined munitions. In the plant, munitions are fed through a semi-automatic loading system into the detonation chamber, where they are heated until they burn, deflagrate, or detonate. The process gases are cleaned by separate off-gas treatment systems. Remaining metal scrap is thermally treated inside the MEA as an integral part of the process and is safer for recycling after appropriate inspection.

The conveyor system transfers the munitions to be destroyed from the loading platform into an electrical indirectly-heated detonation chamber, effectively keeping the destruction process away from the environment. After the destruction process is completed and an appropriate safety time has passed, the scrap is discharged to the scrap bucket. The final scrap metal is recyclable. To meet emissions standards, an off-gas treatment system can be integrated with the system to filter and treat resulting waste gases.

Both the SDC 200 and 500 can be assembled and disassembled with a vehicle mounted swing crane. Once disposal operations end, the system can be ready to relocate to the next site within five days
